Should be paired with at least one core-curriculum class. Class open to ages 10+ and all experience levels.
Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Thursdays - Curriculum: Each of these days will have programming at all three levels of curriculum - youth can attend on any day to receive their core curriculum. Youth are welcome to attend more than one of these classes and will have the opportunity to either mentor younger students or learn advanced curriculum alongside older students.
In the first year of our core curriculum, youth are introduced to the inner hero and the basics of live-action roleplaying, or LARP. Throughout the year, youth will create unique heroic characters, learn introductory martial arts forms, craft boffers and costuming, learn how to interact with the environment and others in the LARP world, and experience their own heroic journey at the end of the year. Class open to ages 10+ and recommended for first year / sixth grade students.
In the second year of our core curriculum, youth continue to improve themselves as LARPers and learn more about their inner heroes. Throughout the year, youth will further develop their heroic character, perfect their introductory martial arts forms, craft more intricate boffers and character props, collaborate with peers to create their heroes' homeland, and continue the heroic journey they began the year before. Class open to ages 10+ and recommended for second year / seventh grade students.
In the third year of our core curriculum, youth finish the first cycle of their inner hero and conclude their basic LARP education. Throughout the year, youth will finalize the history of their heroic character, master introductory martial arts forms, begin to learn more advanced forms, craft full-scale costumes and props, work with our high school volunteers to contribute to the wider world of Etheraz, and reach the climax of the heroic journey they started years ago! Classes open to ages 10+ and recommended for third year / eighth grade students.
Fridays - LARP Games: A co-curricular class focusing on the gameplay and physical exercise of LARP. One of our most popular classes, LARP games is an excellent way to enjoy a Friday after a long week of school while also getting one heck of a workout! Should be paired with at least one core-curriculum class. Class open to ages 10+ and all experience levels.
