Ye Olde Commons V: Pursuit of the Lost

July 16th to 28th in Charlton, MA

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

For many years, the Heroes of the Fortress have been on a mission, driven by prophecy and necessity. First came the orcs, chasing the heroes from their homes and starting them on this journey. Then came the Order of the Thirteen, haunting the heroes as they sought answers for the destruction of the Heroes Guild. Looming over all of this was the Great Conjunction, a cycle of rebirth that could just as easily have destroyed the world. And in its aftermath came the threat of the Kept, of the Nothing, of Scrog and his hoard.

But Scrog has been captured. The watchtowers stand vigilant against the Nothing. The Kept rages far to the North, its immediate threat avoided. The Heroes still stand and the Fortress has rallied behind them.  Much has been lost as the Heroes have blazed their path of survival and redemption. But now as they stand at their tallest, the prophecies have stopped. The threats have receded. The drive that has carried them forward for so long is over. Who knows how long this will last, but if the Heroes are to continue, they must decide their own path.

Aggressively pursue the last of the Vaults, uncovering the secrets of the ancient forces locked within? Strike out against the horrors of the North and reclaim those ancestral lands? Investigate the rumors of the Pale Griffin and the abominations rising in the Southern lands of Eldrania? Strengthen their fortress and militarize their people, in preparation for the great battles yet to come? Or take this time to rebuild and regrow the civilizations and societies that once ruled over these lands? Will the heroes take the war with them to their graves, or will they pursue that which was lost?
