April 27th to 29th at Camp Denison – Heroes Journey: The Call, The Descent, and The Return.
End of year events have been an important part of the L.A.P. curriculum since we began running classes in Arlington in 2007. Part LARP back story, part graduation ceremony, these events follow the students through their foundation curriculum in middle school. Each event is largely organized and put on by the corresponding class of high school youth, with the guidance of our adult staff, as a way to contribute to the inter-generational learning of our community.
Many students have found it rewarding to not only PC their own end-of-year-event, but also to NPC those of the other classes. This event entails PC participation in one event and NPC participation in the remaining two events. The schedule for the year events are as follows:
1st Year Event: The Call will be held on Saturday April 28th from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
2nd Year Event: The Descent will be held on Friday April 27th from 8:00pm to 11:59pm.
3rd Year Event : The Return will be held from Saturday April 28th at 2:00pm to Sunday April 29th at 2:00pm.
In this setting, we find a co-creative community where we learn to not only appreciate ourselves, but to appreciate others as we hold space for their self discovery. By being part of a container, we can learn that sometimes the most rewarding moments in life are the ones that we leave no footprints in. Rather, we understand the beauty and strength that comes with transcending knowledge from one generation to the next and being a steward that fosters the joy of life.

All High School Marshals are required to sign up through the store in order to volunteer for this event. Please make sure to fill out the event form provided at the end of check out process. We have created two options for HS Marshals to choose from:
High School Marshal - No Meal Plan - $0.00 = This option is for those who wish to volunteer, but do not want to pay for a meal plan for this weekend. This means you are responsible for providing your own meals for the weekend.
High School Marshal - With Meal Plan - $60.00 = This option is for those who wish to volunteer, but would like to pay for the meal plan for this weekend. This means that you will have all of your meals provided for you by Nexus Catering.

Enjoy 44 acres of woods and trails, lake side view, use of lake for swimming and rafting, and, rustic lodge.
Site includes: Main lodge with fireplace, with heat, electricity. Mess hall and den, full kitchen (staff only), camp sites, out door fire pit, flushing toilets, outside showers and running water. Cabins available.
All staff members are CORI/SORI checked and have 4+ years of LARP experience with First Aid, CPR, CERT, EMT certifications and more among them.
Event check-in will be on Friday, April 27th, at 7:00pm. Late arrivals may have to wait to be check-in by staff members and are not encouraged.
Event check-out will be on Sunday, April 29th, at 3:00pm. Late departures may be charged late fees at the discretion of the check-out staff.
Those who are participating as NPCs for this event should expect to arrive around 6:00pm on Friday and stay through until 4:00pm on Sunday unless otherwise instructed.
All payments are non-refundable, you are purchasing a ticket to an event. This event will run rain or shine.
